ENBIS Spring Meeting 2015

4 – 5 June 2015 Abstract submission: 1 February – 30 April 2015

The 2015 ENBIS Spring Meeting will take place in Barcelona, Spain. Barcelona is a Mediterranean city, located on the coast and bounded by the Collserola mountain, an authentic green lung to the city. It is a major cultural and economic center in southwestern Europe.

Barcelona is a big city, but not so huge, so many attractions can be discovered on foot. There are nice monuments to visit and many good places to eat. Tapas are very popular as an informal lunch or dinner. By the way, we’ll have tapas of Thursday evening in the meeting! Just strolling around the streets, such as in the famous las Ramblas, can be a very pleasant experience.

Besides, beginning of June is a perfect time of the year for a visit to Barcelona. Days are long and full of light, and the weather is usually sunny and warm (but not as hot as in July and August).

The venue

The 2015 ENBIS Spring Meeting will be held at the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona. The building is easily accessible from any part of the city by metro, bus or tram. In particular, it takes about 20 minutes from Plaça Catalunya (Barcelona centre) to the School of Engineering by metro.

Morning sessions will be conducted in an amphitheater-shaped hall, with capacity for more than 100 attendants. From our experience, this disposition of seats facilitates discussion and interaction between both presenters and participants. Coffee breaks will be served just in front of this room.

Sessions coming from the call for papers during Thursday afternoon will most probably be done in smaller rooms, depending on the number of participants and presentations.
