Free ENBIS Webinar by Farida Mustafazade: "Application of Statistics and Machine Learning to Empty Property Analytics"

28 January 2019; 12:30 – 13:15

Farida Mustafazade will illustrate what machine learning can achieve for social housing associations. The webinar will be moderated by Shirley Coleman.

The social housing sector in the UK covers many 100,000 properties and transactional data handling is typically handled by independent software companies. This work focuses on the development of predictive analytics capacity to optimise empty property re-let in social housing associations in the face of changes such as welfare reform. A wide range of supervised and unsupervised algorithms have been applied in finance, insurance and other sectors.  Nonetheless, there is limited literature on applying data analytics to vacant property analytics, which would contribute to improve the efficiency of social housing institutions and make them more competitive in an increasingly constrained environment.
