Sunday, September 23, 2007: Welcome Reception
This get together at Watson Bar in the Best Western Hotel from 6 pm will allow you to meet colleagues and friends as well as make new contacts ahead of the conference.
The following events are free to all conference attendees.
Monday, September 24th 2007: Italian buffet
All participants of the conference are invited to enjoy our Italian buffet at the restaurant Incontro in Dortmund city centre. We will meet there at 7 pm and spend the evening chatting in an enjoyable atmosphere.
You can reach the Incontro with the underground. From Westfalenhallen take the underground line U46 and get off at stop Reinoldikirche. Exit the station towards Kleppingstraß. Pass the fountain and follow the street Kleppingstraß for another 2 minutes until you reach the Incontro on the left hand side of the street.
Tuesday, September 25, 2007: Conference dinner
Enjoy a rich buffet dinner composed of Westphalian delicacies including beverages, especially local beer, and international dishes. The dinner will be served in the steel hall ("Stahlhalle") of the German Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition (Deutsche Arbeitsschutzausstellung, DASA). Sitting close to old equipment from a steel mill will give you an impression of the industrial past of Dortmund. We welcome you there at 7.30 pm.
Prior to the conference dinner, a guided tour is offered exclusively for conference participants and their guests. The tour will show and explain the various facilities of this interesting collection of industrial artefacts. The tour will have English-speaking guides, starts at 6.30 pm and will last for about one hour.

You can get to the DASA by train. Take the underground line U45 to Dortmund central station. Then take the S-Bahn train line S1 from platform 7. Exit at ´ortmund Dorstfeld Sü´(second stop) and follow the signs inside the station.
